I’m Kelley Powell Williamson and I've spent my career helping founders scale—mostly software companies—partnering with business owners through high-growth and advising founder-friendly private equity teams. I even wrote a best-selling book, Courage to Lose Sight of Shore, to help founders navigate the complexities of scaling.
Today, I’m here as a founder on a new journey.
After multiple foot surgeries from cancer in my foot, I could no longer wear heels—a small thing to some, but for me, it took away my confidence for a bit. I had a choice: compromise my style or redefine it. That moment led me to launch KelleyWPowell in 2022, working toward my dream of creating shoes that give women confidence and style—without sacrificing comfort.
Putting myself out there is both exciting and scary, but attending FFD: The Express is a big step toward making this dream a reality.
I'm a footwear fanatic and big advocate for healthy feet and Balance Health. I’ve been fortunate to volunteer with Shoes For A Cure, connect with inspiring women in footwear, and learn from mentors I trust with my vision. And after years of doctors telling me I couldn’t wear heels, I can now wear SNEEX—so I can’t wait to thank Sara in person.
I believe in the power of showing up for each other, and I’m so grateful to be in this room among fellow founders, ready to learn, grow, and support one another.
Love & Light,
Kelley
