I'm celebrating my fifth year with Network2Work@PVCC and during that time I've worn many hats, and in each role I've helped support more than 1,250 job-seekers pursuing a better life for themselves and their families. I found my niche within the program in my current role as Life and Career Coach for parents. Being a mother of four myself, most of the time as a single mother, I can relate to the financial hardships and stress a parent faces in supporting a family. I can share, motivate and assist in charting the pathway for the parents I serve so they can make the connections they need to pursue jobs and careers with family-sustaining wages, with an emphasis on financial literacy and stability. Working for a program that encourages self-sufficiency, I've seen first-hand the positive change that having financial stability can create within a household. In addition to helping parents find quality jobs and careers, it is critically important that parents understand how best to manage their household finances.
