The Whiskey Jar was late founder, Wilson Richey's idea of Virginia-specific Southern cuisine focused on local ingredients and seasonal offerings. Our recipes are often from his own family but always classic. Though classic, our food is fresh, light, and healthy showing that Southern food does not have to be heavy. Beyond our attention to Virginia, we look for the best of what the Southern United States offers. Whiskey being one of the finest products to emerge from the South, we try to offer the finest selection of Whiskies available in the state of Virginia. Our cocktails are a compliment to our whiskey selection and our traditional menu. Completing the triangle of greatness from the Southern United States is music and The Whiskey Jar offers live music every night with a focus on regionally specific music and bands.
