Fernando is a young serial entrepreneur who is passionate about the areas of growth and opportunity for individuals interested in a career within the barber industry. Throughout the years as a business owner and Master Barber, Fernando has created job opportunities & independent careers for young men & women, especially of color, ranging from the ages of 16-35 years old. He is an advocate and voice for the local youth, especially those that are considered "troubled" in today's society. Fernando uses his own lived experience drawing from business & life to help guide others to success, often identifying with people going through situations in which he is very passionate about.
Fernando serves his community by hosting and participating in events that are dedicated & focused on youth in the Charlottesville area. Efforts include: Back to School Bash offering free haircuts to over 500 children annually throughout Central Virginia and the #100Cuts Initiative in partnership with 100 Black Men of Central Virginia. Fernando is also a guest lecturer and instructor. He believes that serving the youth with the skills he has obtained as a barber and entrepreneur of color will empower, create confidence, and uplift local youth.
