Born and raised in Charlottesville, Alex became an unshakable advocate for the legal and sacred use of Plant Medicines after a transformative experience a decade ago. Today, he is the President of Ambiwasi (House of Healing), a nonprofit organization headquartered in Charlottesville, Alex works with the indigenous Ingano tribe of the Amazon within Putumayo, Colombia. Ambiwasi provides the opportunity and sacred space for the spiritual use of Yage or Ayahuasca.
Alex has successfully worked within the Virginia legislature to help legalize Hemp and then, Cannabis and today focuses on the legalization of Psilocybin, Mescaline, DMT, and MDMA.
