About me
Valerie is a land use and real estate attorney at Williams Mullen, and regularly guides clients through the intricacies of obtaining local governmental land use approvals for a variety of development projects in the Charlottesville community. She has assisted with multi-family and other residential communities, mixed-use developments, a community hospital, office buildings, senior living facilities, wireless telecommunications, and renewable energy projects, among others. She also counsels developers, investors, landlords, and tenants in a wide range of commercial real estate transactions.
Valerie earned her undergraduate degree in Political Economy from Tulane University and her law degree from the University of Virginia, and has been practicing in Charlottesville ever since. She is proud to have played a role in helping to bring many new housing projects to life in the Charlottesville community, even though it required many late nights at Planning Commission, City Council, and Board of Supervisors meetings. Valerie is active with the Charlottesville Area Development Roundtable, a group of area professionals working to create Charlottesville’s Next Great Places, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Central Virginia Partnership for Economic Development.
