About me
Stephen joined CIC as its first President in April 2013, after a decade of experience in organization building, management, consulting and education. Stephen has led CIC's growth in supporting over 2500 entrepreneurs, including 565 graduates of CIC’s 16 week Entrepreneur Workshop, the deployment of over $4 million in microloans, and supporting entrepreneurs in accessing over $100 million in capital from private and public sources. CIC is a certified Community Development Finance Institution (CDFI) and hosts the Central Virginia Small Business Development Center. He currently serves as a board member for the VA CDFI Coalition, and formerly served as a College Board Member for Piedmont Virginia Community College and Chair of the Board for VPM Media Corporation. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Master’s degree in Education from James Madison University.
