Sam Northington joins us from the Virginia Community College System’s central office, following his time at Piedmont Virginia Community College, where he specialized in workforce programming and as a trades instructor. With over twenty years in skilled trades, focusing on HVAC controls and tech integration, Sam's career is marked by both hands-on experience and a decade dedicated to educating emerging trades professionals. He is passionate about leveraging technology and innovation to promote skilled trades as a route to economic stability and wealth creation for marginalized communities in the Commonwealth. Outside of work, Sam enjoys outdoor adventures with his family, including camping, fishing, and pickleball.
