About me
Dr. David Skandera is a researcher and Assistant Professor of Strategic Management in the School of Business at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). His work focuses on the role of business in society, and specifically on developing theories and educating (current and future) business leaders on how firms invest in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Business can be a critical force for good in society, with the potential to have a significant positive impact on the social, environmental, and economic challenges humankind faces in the 21st century. David's primary goal is to help managers, investors, and other stakeholders understand how to efficiently use resources in CSR portfolios to positively impact social and environmental issues in ways that help all of our shared societal systems – from markets, to households, the state, and our earth systems – to collectively thrive in balance.
