About me
Richard DiCicco is the editor of C-VILLE Weekly, a long-running alternative weekly newspaper in Charlottesville, Va. While Richard is involved with every aspect of the paper's editorial content, he has also contributed many cover stories and news articles to the publication, often covering local phenomena like the city's surprisingly robust arcade video game scene and the infamous "chicken strip" traffic jam on Route 29.
In addition to his work at C-VILLE, Richard is also a fiction and poetry writer and has spent years on indie radio as a DJ and talk show host. He earned his bachelor's degree in art history at Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts, and his master's in American journalism at the New York University Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute.
