About me
Dr. R. Prakash Kolli is the CEO and co-founder of 3D Orthobiologic Solutions (3DOS), which is commercializing 3-D printed scaffolds for repairing and regenerating bone in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He was also the Founder of Blue Point Materials Research, which developed an anti-bacterial metal for orthopedics and other applications. As the CEO and founder of two startups, he has gained experience at the Inova Personalized Health Accelerator, Mass Challenge Foundations, and the Lighthouse Labs accelerator.
Dr. Kolli’s research expertise is in advanced materials, computer-aided design, and 3-D printing. He received a Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Science from Northwestern University, a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has also completed his Professional Engineer license.
