About me
Todd Niemeier (he/him) has served as the Director of the City of Charlottesville Human Rights Commission and Office of Human Rights since September 2021. He has worked for the Office of Human Rights since February 2018, serving first as Community Outreach & Investigation Specialist. Prior to working for the City, Todd spent eleven years growing and sharing food with Charlottesville community members, first as the Farm Manager for QCC Farms and later as Operations Director for the Urban Agriculture Collective of Charlottesville. Todd has also worked for The Arc of the Piedmont, as the Director of Day Support Services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Bolivia. This circuitous career path opened his eyes to the breadth of diversity in our human experience and instilled in him a commitment to community service. Todd has lived with his family in the Charlottesville area since 2002.
