About me
Meredith Lee, DO, was born and raised in New Jersey. She attended Lafayette College in Easton, PA, where she received her B.S. in Biology. She then moved to San Diego, CA, working as a clinical research associate at Quintiles, Inc. After a few years of working in clinical research, she pursued her dream of becoming a physician and graduated from the Edward Via Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, VA. She then completed her residency training in psychiatry and fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA, where she still works today.
Dr. Lee spends the majority of her time practicing geriatric psychiatry. In this role, she supervises and trains resident physicians and provides psychiatric care to residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities throughout Central Virginia. Areas of interest include improving the quality of life for patients living in long-term care facilities, especially those living with dementia or chronic mental illness.
