About me
Bhavika Suryawanshi is a high school junior in Richmond with a passion for Computer Science and advocating for Women in STEM. She follows a tech-focused curriculum, engaging in computer science courses, consulting, and internships. As Vice President of her school’s Girls in Technology club, she leads workshops to inspire young women in STEM. She’s also participated in UVA’s Engineering-Girls program and TechGirls’ Girls Geek Day, deepening her tech passion.
While Computer Science is her focus, Bhavika is also passionate about Developmental Psychology. She’s involved in youth initiatives locally and at UVA, contributing to TYDE’s Hackathon and soon taking on a writer and speaker role for Youth-Nex. Through TYDE, she developed a mobile health prototype and is collaborating with UVA’s PHAD Lab on research about adolescent identity and senior-year challenges.
Through these roles, Bhavika advocates for tech and gender equality, offering a teen’s perspective on digital pressures and social issues.
