About me
Mariane Asad Doyle is the Executive Director/CEO of Virginia’s Center for Nonprofit Excellence (CNE). She has been a leader in nonprofits, education, and for-profit businesses for 30 years and she is passionate about community impact, cross-sector collaboration, and systems-thinking. Most recently, Dr. Doyle served as Chief Culture Officer at the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce, Vice President of Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion at the Thomas Jefferson Foundation, and Director of Human Resources, Equity Services, and Athletics at the William S. Hart Union High School District. She is a Lecturer with the University of Virginia – Northern Virginia and a speaker in the Leadership in Academic Matters (LAM) program through the UVA Office of the Provost. Dr. Doyle was faculty in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at California State University, Northridge, where she taught doctoral and master’s students courses including Public Policy, Educational Leadership, Leadership Ethics, and Entrepreneurship in Education.
Her commitment to leadership includes the attainment of a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership and Higher Education from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.
Dr. Doyle has served on several nonprofit boards and is currently serving as the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Vice Chair of the Board and Chair of the Public Policy Committee. She has made significant strides as a leader in DEAI through her involvement with the City of Santa Clarita's Human Relations Roundtable and her role as a member of the Advisory Board for the Anti-Racism Task Force led by the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA), where she formerly served as State President of the Career Technical Education Committee. She also served on ACSA’s State Policy Committee and the Government Affairs Committee with the Santa Clarita Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Doyle’s outstanding contributions have earned her accolades such as Santa Clarita's 40 under 40, the ACSA Central Office Administrator of the Year award, and commendations from State and Federal legislators.
