Lisa O'Mara is the Director of Investor Relations at Locus, a Virginia-based community development financial institution (CDFI). Here she leads a dedicated team in securing funds to advance Locus' mission of creating equitable access to capital through financing in affordable housing, clean energy, healthy food systems and small business sectors.
Previously, Lisa served as VP, Local Investment Strategy at LOCUS Impact Investing, where she helped community foundations to establish place-focused impact investing programs. For 15 years at the Community Foundation for a greater Richmond, Lisa guided individuals and families in multi-generational philanthropy through values-based grantmaking and gift-planning programs. Collaborating with donors to align their charitable goals to community needs resulted in the launch of four giving circles and several special purpose initiatives including the RVA Solar Fund.
Lisa believes in the transformative potential of philanthropic people and organizations intersecting with mission-first community finance.
