About me
Kari Anderson Miller is the CEO & Founder of International Neighbors, Inc. International Neighbors works with Charlottesville's refugee and SIV population, equipping and empowering these new neighbors with the connections and skills needed for them to thrive- not just to survive- as aspiring Americans.
Prior to starting International Neighbors, Kari spent 19 years as an elementary education teacher in California, Georgia, and Virginia. She served in the U.S. Peace Corps (Thailand) from 1997-1999.
Kari received a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts/Education from Pepperdine University and a Masters in Special Education/ESOL from The University of Virginia.
Kari is a mother, an activist, an optimist, and lover of cultures, music, dancing, & learning.
