Jill Heinze is a digital product strategist, researcher, and business owner who has been helping organizations build human-centered products for more than 20 years. Starting her career as an academic librarian, Jill has led cross-functional teams in delivering services and software across public and private sectors.
Committed to incorporating responsible AI principles into everyday practices, Jill was instrumental in launching a first-ever executive-level AI governance function at her previous agency. She created and integrated a Trustworthy AI risk mitigation framework into generative AI development workflows, which she presented at GovAI, and she has been a mentor with the non-profit All Tech is Human. Currently, Jill hosts Responsible Tech Talks on LinkedIn to showcase practitioners who are putting users at the center of their tech work.
Jill holds a Master's of Library Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She leads insights and design at Shockoe and is owner of Saddle-Stitch Consulting.
