About me
Jen Fleisher is the Community Health Assessment Program Officer at Blue Ridge Health District, part of the Virginia Department of Health's network of 35 districts. In her role, Jen supports coalitions, institutions, and organizations by providing project management, strategic planning, and community connections to advance goals aligned with the districtwide Community Health Improvement Plan.
Having earned her Master's of Public Health from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2019, Jen began her journey in public health by joining BRHD's Covid communications team in March 2020. Prior to her current position, she led COVID vaccination operations and engagement for the health district from 2021-2023.
Outside of public health, Jen was previously a co-owner of a design studio and also served as a birth doula. Today, she continues her commitment to public health advocacy while leveraging her skills in human-centered design and reproductive health education.
