Evan Eckersley holds the position of Chief Operating Officer and is the Co-Founder at Icarus Medical. His educational background includes degrees in Bioengineering and Finance, obtained through Lehigh University's Integrated Business and Engineering (IBE) program, where he concentrated on customer-centric design and innovation. Before his current role, Eckersley was at the helm of Lytos Technologies as its founder and COO, where he utilized his expertise in protein engineering and synthetic biology. During his tenure at Lytos, he spearheaded R&D and the commercialization of a pioneering engineered enzymatic fungicide for crop protection. His efforts led to the raising of $1M in funding and the establishment of the company’s core business.
At Icarus Medical, Eckersley applies his extensive research and operational knowledge to the challenge of scaling the production of customized medical devices, ensuring they can be delivered on a mass scale without compromising quality. He plays a crucial role in maintaining an exceptional customer experience throughout all stages, from design and sales to manufacturing. Additionally, Eckersley directs the company’s clinical research strategy, further underlining his commitment to innovation and excellence in the medical field.
