Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services
Region 1 Recovery Oriented Services Coordinator
About me
Erin Tucker is a dedicated leader in mental health and recovery services with over a decade of experience in peer support and trauma-informed care. She previously served as Executive Director of On Our Own, Charlottesville, where she spent 12 years supporting individuals in their recovery journeys. Erin holds a B.S. in Human Services Counseling with a minor in Psychology.
She is doubly trained SAMHSA certified Trauma-Informed Care Trainer, and a Certified WRAP Trainer. Additionally, she is a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist Trainer, an eCPR Trainer, and a Certified Personal Medicine Coach.
Currently, Erin is the Recovery Oriented Services Coordinator for Region 1 at the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS). Sadly, due to the cuts in mental health funding, her grant funded position is sunsetting. She is actively looking for a new job.
An advocate for peer recovery, equity, and access, Erin firmly believes that recovery is possible for all—when equity and access are prioritized.
