About me
Emma first joined PDC in the Spring of 2023 as a Stewardship Technician and very quickly climbed the ranks to become the Restoration Project Manager. She is an active member of all of research and education, as well as design, installation, and client relations. Emma's consistent participation on the biological survey team gives her exposure to the diverse natural plant communities that she models in our design and restoration projects.
Emma grew up in the dynamic landscapes of the Chesapeake Bay, where her curiosity and care for the environment began. In 2021, Emma graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Civil Engineering, focused on Environmental and Water Resources, and a minor in Materials Science Engineering. Prior to joining the Center for Urban Habitats team, Emma worked as an analyst for a civil engineering consulting firm and an assistant designer for a landscape design firm in Richmond, Virginia. Emma is certified as a Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional and as a Prescribed Burn Manager.
