Claire Maiers, PhD serves as a Group VP in the Strategy Consulting practice at WillowTree. She began her career as a sociologist, studying the intersection of technology and culture. Her research at the University of Virginia explored the emergence of data science as an epistemological paradigm and its effects on knowledge production. With her career shift into the technology sector, she now focuses on fostering the development of high-performing, interdisciplinary consulting teams and has successfully built a UX research practice at WillowTree. With the acceleration of GenAI in industry, her work increasingly is focused on upskilling teams to effectively leverage this technology in safe and meaningful ways.
