About me
Alicia Lenahan is the Executive Director of Common Ground Healing Arts, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing access to affordable complementary medicine. The organization offers community acupuncture, massage, and postpartum doula care. Classes and workshops are also scheduled regularly.
Throughout her professional career Alicia has worked successfully with a broad range of stakeholders. Her work with cross-disciplinary teams has resulted in effective organizational strategy and programmatic best practices. Common Ground provides a unique opportunity to develop community-based programming throughout Charlottesville.
Alicia has been an attorney for nearly 30 years and has 24 years of experience in the nonprofit arena. She was president of Piedmont CASA for over seven years. Previously, Alicia worked with the Massachusetts Children’s Trust, and the United Way of Central Massachusetts. As an attorney in juvenile court, Lenahan represented children or their parents in child maltreatment cases.
