Jonathan Aberman is Parter in Ruxton Ventures a seed stage venture capital firm that is currently growing as portfolio of more than 20 software startups, based throughout the world. He has worked previously in the investment banking industry and as a partner in major international lawfirms, and through his career he has led hundreds of corporate transactions. He is also an Executive in Residence and Strategic Advisor to the President at John Cabot University and a Partner in Venture Bottega, a startup studio based in Rome. Jonathan is a well-known expert on innovation, policy and economics. Currently he is the host of What’s Working in Washington, a weekly radio program that covers the intersection of politics, economics and innovation and a regular columnist for the Washington Business Journal. He was previously a columnist for the Washington Post. His policy making experiences have run the gambit of federal, state and local government, including a role as an outside advisor on innovation to the Obama Administration where his work resulted in new approaches to commercialization of federally funded technology.
