About me
Dr. Lysiak is the Chief Science Officer at PS Fertility. He is an expert in mammalian spermatogenesis with 60 peer-reviewed publications, including 3 in the journal Nature. He has written 3 book chapters, has mentored over a dozen trainees, has been on numerous NIH Study Section panels, and has been the recipient of NIH funded RO1, SBIR, and ARRA grants. Dr. Lysiak has also received numerous awards inclusive of the Dr. Robert Krane Award of the American Urological Association Foundation, Burroughs-Wellcome Award of the American Society of Andrology, American Society of Andrology New Investigator Award, and most recently for his current work the American Urologic Association Showcase Award. His research focused on mammalian fertilization specifically sperm-egg interactions. This has led to a publication in Nature Communications which stemmed the foundation of PS Fertility.
Jeff is married to Dr. Jennifer Kirby and they have 2 sons Thomas, who is graduating from Virginia Tech and Henry who will be attending JMU this fall. Jeff is an avid ultramarathon runner, running over 60 ultras including several 100 mile races. He is often found running around Shenandoah National Park.
