Offender Aid and Restoration (OAR) is a non-profit organization based in Charlottesville, VA. We believe in second chances and helping individuals lead successful lives.
Our goals: - To provide safe, evidence-based and cost-effective alternatives to incarceration for Central Virginia.
- To offer pretrial investigation/supervision, community corrections, speciality courts and dockets, and reentry services.
- To work together for a safer community one person at a time.
- To provide a network of transitional and reentry services targeted to the offender population to reduce the barriers to successful reintegration into the community.
- To advocate for criminal justice reform and educate the public about the challenges and opportunities of reentry.
