About me
Established in 2008, Charlottesville Tango organizes Argentine tango events for the Charlottesville community, including classes, practicas, and milongas (social tango events). Since 2025, classes and practice sessions have been taking place weekly at the McGuffey Art Center every Thursday evening.
About the event (April 19th, @McGuffey Studio 11):
- Taster class (2-3pm): We’ll be offering a sneak peek into the world of Argentine Tango! Expect a warm and welcoming atmosphere, engaging demonstrations, and an introduction to the fundamental steps that make tango so captivating. No experience and no partner required—just bring your enthusiasm and a love for movement!
- Social dancing/practice (3-3:45pm): Whether you're a new or a seasoned dancer, come and connect! You can practice what you've learned during the taster class, dance socially, watch the dancers, or just socialize! We'll put tango music on and the rest is up to you!
