CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA—Second Street Gallery is pleased to present
Charlottesville Porch Portraits, a group exhibition of documentary images by Charlottesville, Virginia-based photographers Ézé Amos, Tom Daly, Kristen Finn, John Robinson, and Sarah Cramer Shields, in the Dové Gallery from April 4–May 23, 2025. Charlottesville Porch Portraits acts as a reflective mirror, encouraging the community to contemplate the unprecedented era of the COVID-19 pandemic. It aims to visually narrate our lived experiences during those trying times, exhibiting our collective efforts of distant yet resourceful aid, and shedding light on our intrinsic journey of resilience.
Previously, the photos were only shown on Instagram, but for the first time, these five photographers, along with Second Street Gallery, are bringing these photos to life in a public space. Charlottesville Porch Portraits opened at Second Street Gallery on April 5 and will remain in view through May 23, 2025. The exhibition is generously sponsored by The FUNd at the CACF, OakHeart Financial Group, the Virginia Commission for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Charlottesville community.
