Held at a local high school football field,
Girls on the Gridiron features two exciting matchups: a game for 3rd to 5th graders and another for 6th to 9th graders, each lasting one hour. This event not only highlights the talent and determination of young female athletes but also fosters a growing passion for flag football within the Charlottesville community.
More than just a competition,
Girls on the Gridiron is a movement to create opportunities for girls in this rapidly expanding sport. All proceeds from admission support and grow the local girls' flag football league, helping to build confidence, encourage teamwork, and strengthen community connections. By attending, spectators contribute to a more inclusive and empowering environment for the next generation of female athletes.
