Celebrate the Birth of Spring: A Goat Walk with Emma and Chris Andrews
Sunday April 20, 2025 9:30am - 11:15am EDT

Celebrate the arrival of spring with a magical morning at St. Magda Farm, where nature and mindfulness come together in a joyful experience. Led by Emma Andrews, intuitive and farm owner, and Chris Andrews, clinical mental health counselor and QiGong teacher, this event offers a chance to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and embrace the beauty of the natural world.

The morning begins with a peaceful walk through woodland trails and open pastures, accompanied by a playful herd of goats. Along the way, Chris will guide a gentle QiGong practice to help you relax and flow with the rhythms of spring, while Emma leads a meditation on the healing power of nature and intuition. The journey continues through sunlit fields, bubbling creeks, and enchanting wetlands, offering moments of awe and reflection. Open to all ages, this easy-to-moderate hike invites you to nourish both body and spirit—just bring comfortable shoes and an open heart.

Tai Chi Open Session “6 Steps to Compassion” led by Hiromi Johnson
Sunday April 20, 2025 1:00pm - 2:00pm EDT

Tai Chi is an internal Chinese martial art that blends deliberate movement, breathwork, and mindfulness. With applications ranging from self-defense to meditation, Tai Chi is both a physical practice and a meditative journey that cultivates balance, awareness, and inner peace. Beyond its individual benefits, Tai Chi has deep roots in community practice, offering a unique way to connect with others through shared movement and intentional presence.

In this workshop, Hiromi Johnson of Charlottesville Tai Chi will guide participants through a practice centered on communal healing and collective consciousness. Through slow, mindful movements, we will explore how intentional motion can foster a sense of unity, grounding us in both our own bodies and in the energy of those around us. This practice encourages a deepened awareness of self and community, helping us to move with greater ease, connection, and harmony.
